About Us
Metro Inventory Service has been serving Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee for over 30 years. On many occasions we have performed services far beyond these geographic locations including Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Guam.  As a member of the ISN (Inventory Service Network) we partner with other inventory service providers in order to stay on top of the latest technology and best practices.
Our Services
Financial Counts
Metro can provide a variety of reports that provide data in the customers requested format. Dollar totals can be given at the shelf, section or aisle level.  We can categorize inventory to provide sub-totals and  department balances.  We can provide retail and cost totals  on the clients percentages.
Scan Inventories
We can of capture  data at the SKU level.  Using your data file software, we can take inventory by SKU, then resolve “not founds” and negative book balances.   At the completion of the inventory, your database will be completely up to date.  A complete inventory can also be given at cost.
Price Verification
Market competition requires that store management must make every effort to provide their customers  competitive pricing and that the advertised/and or shelf price is the correct price being charged at the Point of Sale.  We can help clients avoid problems due to incorrect shelf pricing.  Our Price Verification program compares shelf pricing with POS pricing with a printout identifying all mis-matches in pricing.
Fixed Asset Inventories
Companies may be paying too much property tax,   don’t you know for certain where all of the fixed assets are, maintaining obsolete assets on the books or purchasing new assets for one location while another location has that asset not in use.
Warehouse Inventories
Shortages, shrinkage, spoilage and inaccurate physical inventory counts are a recurring problem in the warehouse environment.  We provide our warehouse customers with accurate information on cycle inventory counts as well as total inventory counts.  We can help  with controls, such as bar-coding the locations in your warehouse environment, double counting all products, etc..
